Jumpstart your career
Are you creating new habits and thought patterns? Are you trying new things in order to step outside of the box? If your answer is no, continue reading (you’ll thank us later)! If you answered yes, continue to reading…you’ll also thank us later. Here are 5 creative tips to boost your productivity levels:
1) . Drop the to-do list and create a customized spreadsheet. At times to-do list can be taxing, anxiety driven, and a bit overwhelming. Create a spreadsheet itemizing the things that take the longest and have the highest priority. Rank them in the order that they need to be completed (set realistic completion dates).
2). Protect your calendar! Schedule your meetings, office time, and work time accordingly. You do not have to say “yes” to every meeting, a lot of things can be handled over email with clear/detailed communication. When your calendar is filled with agendaless meetings, you’ll start to feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. Give yourself some peace of mind by accepting the meetings/calls that are of high importance.
3). Add to the old in order to start the new. So, if your old routine/habits aren’t working add to them with new habits. You don’t have to cut things off cold turkey, just add new things to your morning routine and you’ll start to see things unfold in a productive manner.
4). Be a social butterfly! Yes you…get out and network! Connect with your peers and create a circle of like minded individuals. At times, opportunities are waiting for you at an event or an after work gathering.
5). Be in the spirit of gratitude. Thank someone each day, it helps build morale. Even if you stop to thank yourself, it will help move mountains. If you practice gratitude daily, you’ll see the shift unfold before your eyes.
