Your jewelry should resonate with your individuality, who you are, and what inspires you. For that to happen, each piece needs to be as unique as you are. By learning how to create and style your own pieces, you free yourself to an entirely new world of expression through your accessories.
What you will learn
Metalsmith Jewelry Design is a class designed to walk you through the basics of creating your personally designed silver ring. You will use basic metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, filing, and soldering to create your own ring with personalized designs created from silver sheet and rod. From the original draft to your final design, Megan will walk you through every step of the way and help you lay the foundation of your own metalworking and design skills.
Megan Isaacs has been practicing her art of metalsmithing for over ten years. Her work has been featured in top publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Zink, and Vogue magazines. She has exhibited in the Forbes Gallery, Aaron Faber Gallery, the Smithsonian Museums and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. Her creations have been seen on the runway in five official NYFW presentations. On top of designing and hand making all her own collections she has designed for top brand names such as Kenneth Cole, Betsey Johnson, Robert Lee Morris, Diane Von Frustenberg, and Chicos.
