What You’ll Be Making : A handcrafted miniature Halloween world featuring eerie terrain, spooky natural textures, and glowing accents — your own tiny haunted scene that looks like it stepped straight out of a ghost story.
What You’ll Be Doing: Get your hands into dark moss and gnarled branches, shape haunted terrain, build tiny spooky trees, and weave in glowing and eerie details as you bring a miniature Halloween world to life from scratch. You’ll leave with something delightfully eerie, a few new maker friends, and at least three completely useless facts courtesy of your instructor.

In this immersive hands-on workshop, you’ll build a one-inch scale Haunted Halloween Book Nook designed to nestle between books on a shelf. Step into the workshop and discover a table filled with curious textures: dark moss, gnarled branches, miniature pumpkins, tiny lanterns, and the beginnings of a spooky little world waiting to come to life.
With gentle guidance, you’ll shape eerie terrain, craft miniature spooky trees, and layer dark and whimsical elements to build your own haunted scene in miniature. Along the way you’ll learn approachable mixed-media techniques for creating realistic textures and atmospheric landscapes at small scale. No experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to embrace the spooky side.
As the class unfolds, your haunted world slowly takes shape. Dark mossy ground spreads across the landscape. Spooky trees take root. Tiny glowing details begin to flicker to life. What started as a handful of materials becomes a tiny world of delightful darkness, entirely your own.
By the end of the evening, you’ll leave with a finished haunted book nook that feels like it stepped out of a ghost story and onto your bookshelf.
