Class size: Our open studio nights are intentionally kept intimate — small enough that everyone has room to spread out, experiment, and get support when needed. Glass Night will usually include no more than 6 guests.
Skill Level : Intermediate — open to Craftsman Ave alumni who have taken a stained glass workshop with us within the last year.
What You’ll Be Making : Whatever you want— within the scope of roughly 8×12 inches.
What You’ll Be Doing: Grinding, foiling, soldering, and experimenting at your own pace alongside fellow stained glass lovers. This is a lightly guided open studio night focused on practice, creativity, and community.

Who can attend?
Glass Night is open to anyone who has taken a stained glass workshop at Craftsman Ave within the last year and feels comfortable working independently.
This is not a beginner workshop or a step-by-step class.
Are there any studio rules?
Yes — to keep the space safe and enjoyable for everyone:
- No food or alcohol
- No guests or observers
- Please respect shared tools and studio space
- All participants are expected to help clean up during the final 20 minutes of the night
- All projects must leave with you at the end of the session
Do I need to bring my own glass?
Yes — Glass Night is BYOG (Bring Your Own Glass).
We’ll have a small shared selection of scrap glass available, but specific colors, textures, and sheet sizes are not guaranteed. We strongly encourage bringing your own glass for personal projects.
What kinds of projects can I work on?
Anything within roughly A4 size (8.27″ x 11.69″). Glass Night is intended for practice and personal projects — not repairs, commission work, or large-scale pieces.
Will there be instruction?
There will be light guidance and troubleshooting available throughout the night, but Glass Night is designed as a self-guided open studio experience rather than a traditional workshop.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
- your own glass
- sketches/templates
- any specialty materials you’d like to use
- an idea you’re excited to work on

Is leaded solder used during Glass Night?
Yes. Shared solder provided during Glass Night is leaded solder.
Gloves, cleaning supplies, and hand-cleaning materials will be available, and all participants are expected to follow proper studio safety practices.
Will Glass Night become a recurring event?
That’s the plan! We’re hoping Glass Night becomes a recurring monthly gathering for our stained glass community.
